Impact

Conducted CJ Roundtables quarterly to bring together area service providers to discuss current events and relevant topics regarding the Latino community.

Held El Juguetazo in January 2015, which gave approximately 2,000 toys to area children.

Managed community list serve as a hub for information sharing between Richmond area service providers.
 
Serve as a fiscal agent for organizations seeking to serve the Latino community in the Richmond-metropolitan area and whose mission's align with that of Colaborando Juntos. 
 
Goals for next year include successful continuation of the aforementioned programs. 
Needs CJ is an all volunteer organization, so a critical need is the recruitment of Board members and other volunteers that would like to assist in the planning of events, trainings, and the development of other programs.
Background

CJ facilitates an exchange of ideas where Latino/Hispanic and U.S. cultures learn from each other and enrich their mutual understanding.

CJ activities serve to educate, inform, and increase community awareness.

CJ is a catalyst for action-oriented solutions.
 
CJ members operate in a collaborative fashion, seeking to identify needs, coordinate efforts, and fill gaps in service provision rather than duplicate services. 
CEO Statement CJ has evolved in a way to meet the quickly growing and dynamic culture of the Latino community. We have served as a bridge for those seeking to connect and engage with the community. Our organization continues to serve as a champion behind the scenes, so that the community can have access to better services and resources.
