Impact
2012 Accomplishments
We serviced 359 patients with supplies during the year 2012 at no charge to the patient or families.  Provided monthly medical alarm service for 15 patients at no charge to the patient or the families.  Held fund raisers such as a gospel sing and a poker run motorcycle race.

2013 Goals
Continue to service patients as needed.
Continue to provide medical alarm service.
To increase contributions using solicitation letters and to hold fund raisers.

2015
Served 192 people throughout the Northern Neck. We provided 25 HSSNN recipients with medical alert systems each month of the year. We spent $80,000 in incontinent supplies and dietary supplements which our volunteers delivered to each of our recipients monthly.  We also provided medical equipment to assist with every day living. The equipment we provided was wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, hospital beds, shower chair, tub benches, elevated toilet seats and bedside commodes. All of the equipment we obtain is donated.  In 2016 we want to continue to serve ~200 folks that need assist maintaining their everyday life.

Needs HSSNN needs funds to updated office equipment. We currently have 1 computer received in 2001 with Microsoft XP as the operating system. We cannot obtain updated software because our current operating system is not compatible. We also do not have an up to date printer that prints in color and can scan and email documents. We also need funds for medical alert units. the cost is $500/month or $6,000 for 2016.  Also, our estimate for providing incontinent and dietary supplies to our ~200 HSSNN recipients this year is $84,000.
Background Hospice Support Services of Northern Neck (HSSNN) was organized in 1987. It is a non-medical, free of charge service to its patients, under the leadership of a Board of 10 members.  HSSNN services four counties: Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland.  Each county has a coordinator that assigns the volunteers and assists with visiting and delivering to the patients.
CEO Statement Our organization is set up to assist primary care givers of patients providing support and help with life threatening illnesses. Volunteers deliver suppplies such as dietary supplements (Glucerna & Ensure), incontinent supplies (bed pads, wet wipes, diapers and gloves), hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, crutches, etc.
Board Chair Statement We started out in 1987 with 30 patients and in 2015 we serviced 200 patients.  Our biggest challenge is to raise the funds to continue supplying patient needs to the yearly increasing number of patients and to meet the yearly rising cost of supplies.

Experience
1984 - 2014 - Constellation Energy, Baltimore, MD
Began in a clerical position in 1984 at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Lusby, MD.  I moved into a Supply Chain Contract Administrator position in 1990 and then held many leadership positions in Supply Chain including Work Group Leader, Supervisor, and Director. I worked in the Supply Chain organization from 1990 until 2006. In 2006 I was asked to take over as the Director of Emergency Planning for a nuclear plant in upstate New York, R. E. Ginna Nuclear Plant.  I did that for 2 years and returned to Maryland to a Senior Project Manager position managing a Corporate engineering project where I supervised procurement and engineering personnel located at 3 nuclear plants, Calvert Cliffs, R. E. Ginna, and Nine Mile Point (in Oswego, NY).  Upon completion of that project, I was promoted to the Corporate Headquarters in Baltimore, MD. I was the Director of Support Services and worked directly for the Senior VP. I was a member of the executive leadership team working with the Senior Counsel, CFO, and President of the Company.  I have managed $100m contracts, $5m budgets, and been responsible for up to 110 employees in a department.

I have a degree in Business Management, and completed the Nuclear Leadership Training Academy.
