CEO Statement
The River City Blues Society is proud of the following accomplishments:
In 2014, we held our 10th Annual Blues Challenge.  This entailed 8 bands, 2 of which were chosen to represent the Richmond area at the annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.   Our judges have ranged from local business leaders to international blues artists.   Capital Ale House, downtown, has been home to our weekly, free blues event "Brews n' Blues"for over 7 years, to which the public is welcomed.  We see this relationship continuing into the future, as our band rotation list includes over 50 blues bands.  We have presented Blues in the Schools programs at a variety of local schools and libraries for over 8 years, including the Governor's School and Chesterfield County Libraries.  We continue to receive excellent reviews for our programs and have been asked to return.
