This 30 minute production continues to be a blessing to the lives of countless Richmonders who attend and participate in it.
  • The Pageant costs approximately $18,000 a year to produce
  • There is always the need for additional participants and Board members. 
Background The first pageant was presented in 1924 on the steps of the State Capitol Building. It was not held from 1943-1945 due to World War II. Beginning in 1946, the pageant was moved to the Carillon in Byrd Park where it has been presented every Christmas since.
