Impact The Richmond Battlefields Association (RBA) has saved Civil War sites on nine Richmond area battlefields including Cold Harbor, Gaines' Mill, Malvern Hill, Glendale, Fort Harrison, Ware Bottom Church, Beaver Dam Creek, North Anna and Second Deep Bottom. Several of these sites have been deeded to the National Park Service and incorporated into the Richmond National Battlefield Park. RBA recently purchased two key parcels at Second Deep Bottom, the scene of intense fighting on August 16, 1864. This acquisition completes a 25-acre core in addition to the 32-acre Fussell's Mill site. RBA continues exploring additional battlefield preservation opportunities while competing for matching grant funds.
Needs Richmond Battlefields Association need your financial support to pursue battlefield preservation opportunities at Beaver Dam Creek, Cold Harbor and Second Deep Bottom.
Background RBA is an all-volunteer organization dependent on the support of its members. Please join us at this critical time to help save America's endangered Civil War battlefields. Join Richmond Battlefields Association now and protect a crucial part of our nation's heritage for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
