Background The Middlesex County Woman's Club was founded in 1929. The Club joined the General Federation of Woman's Clubs in 1930. Since its inception, the Club has contributed greatly to life in Urbanna and the County. In 1948, Christ Church deeded an 18th century building, used as the Middlesex County courthouse from 1748 to 1852, to the Woman's Club.
