 Three Year Goals:
  1. Continue to serve the needs of low-income homeowners in Gloucester County.
  2. Increase capacity to undertake 2 projects yearly with cost estimates of more than $10,000
  3. Create a unique annual fundraising event to increase awareness and giving in the county.
  4. Hire a part-time Executive Director
Monetary Support: Increasing our income by 25% is a goal. GHPI relies on financial support from local and state-wide philanthropic organizations, grants from state and local governments, and donations from local churches and individuals.  GHP completes projects as applications are received and approved. The  projects we undertake are dependent upon cost. Typical project total costs range from $500 to $5, 000. Unfortunately, each year we must deny a few qualifying clients requests for assistance because the cost of repairs and/or work is beyond our scope. In this case, we refer the client to another state agency. We employ one full-time Class A contractor and a part-time secretary/coordinator.  We recruit volunteers from local churches and civic organizations to assist on projects.
Staffing: ($40,000) Another goal for GHP is to hire an Executive Director to oversee fundraising, manage grants, develop and manage community outreach programs, and coordinate volunteers.
The Gloucester Housing Partnership Inc. was founded in 1992 to help with the demand for assistance in housing for low-income families in Gloucester County. One approach to this is to repair unacceptable housing to a state that allows families to have an enhanced standard of living by owning and occupying adequate housing that is warm, safe, dry and accessible. Therefore, GHPI provides low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners free home repairs.
More than half of our clients are disabled.  We serve an increasing number of elderly on fixed incomes, low-income multi-generational families and individuals who are mentally or physically disabled.
Clients are referred to Gloucester Department of Social Services for applications. Referrals also come from the following sources: Bay Aging, Salvation Army, Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic, Hospice Agencies, as well as local schools and churches. Since 1992 we have completed a total of 460 projects at a cost of $1,658,698.00.
